EssayCorp.com is a relatively new writing service serving English-speaking students in the U.S., UK, and Australia. We have been able to find customer reviews on the web dating back a little over a year. And, we have had a couple of requests for an Essay Corp review from users of our site. To prepare this review, we had used all of the normal criteria – on-site testimonials, the content and information on the company website, samples and blog posts, prices, benefits, and, as is always our procedure, the experience we have by ordering and receiving a short research paper. The following is our summary.

Factor 1: Types of Writing Services Offered

As an academic writing service, EssayCorp offers all of the standard products and services – essays, papers, projects, assignments, admissions essays, test-taking, and graduate level theses and dissertations. They also provide editing and proofreading.

Factor 2: Trust and Reliability

The feedback that we have reviewed from customers states that the ordering process is safe and secure and that they have not had any fear for the security of their personal information. And it looks like products are delivered on time.

One complaint that was registered more than once was the lack of responsiveness from the customer service department. There is a contact phone number and a method of leaving a message, but evidently there are periods of time when no one is available.

Factor 3: Level of Quality

We look at several things to determine quality:

1. The EssayCorp.com website content has numerous grammar and word usage errors - errors that are common for ESL writers. Yet the company guarantees only native English-speaking writers.
2. We reviewed two samples and two blog posts. Again, the same grammar and word usage errors were present.
3. Customers who have given feedback are also disappointed with the quality of writing they received. As one stated, the paper looked like it had been written by an ESL student who had not totally mastered English grammar.
4. The paper we ordered and received reflected the same grammar and composition issues. We were not impressed.

Essay Corp is definitely not a fraud or scam, but students should be cautioned that writing quality may be poor.

Factor 4: Pricing and Payment

Essay Corp prices are not published on the site. Even to just get a quote, a visitor must submit an email address, and the quote will then be emailed in response. We do not like this tactic.

There are discounts. New customers get a promo code for 10% off of their first order. And, if that customer subscribes to the company email, that discount goes up to 20%. We did not see a recurring discount program for loyal customers; however, if a customer refers a friend, he will receive another discount.

Factor 5: Additional Important Considerations

The company does guarantee revisions and will also provide a plagiarism report with its delivered products. And, like most other cheap essay writing services, title and bibliography pages are free.

Concluding Comments

In looking at the pros & cons of EssayCorp, we are disappointed. The most important factor for customers is writing quality, and it just isn’t there. We have assigned a rating of poor and do not recommend this service to student in English-speaking institutions.
