Myessaywriting.com has been in the writing service business since 2013. It hit our radar when a few users of our site asked what we knew about the company and would we conduct a review. We were happy to oblige. What follows are the results of our My Essay Writing review. Factors we used included all of the site content we read, MyEssayWriting testimonials the company has posted on its site, samples or blog if they exist, information about writers, our experiences with the customer service department, and, finally, the quality of a short research paper we ordered.

Factor 1: Types of Writing Services Offered​

While MyEssayWriting.com promotes itself as an academic writing service, it does also offer business writing. For purposes of this review, though, we are going to stick with academic writing, because all of the site content focuses on it.

Students from high school through PhD. programs can order a wide variety of writing products along with homework help, admissions essays, proofreading and the best research paper editing services.

Factor 2: Trust and Reliability​

We have to say that we were quite impressed with the written content on the website. It reflected solid grammar and composition, and the site was well laid out.

Visitors are told that all writers have degrees and are all native English-speaking professionals from the UK and U.S.  According to My Essay Writing, they have over 500 such writers from all subject fields.

We also contacted customer service on two occasions. This is where we first began to question reliability. We were told, for example that a complete PH.D. dissertation could be produced, with original research data and analysis, in seven days. Of course, this is ridiculous.

Factor 3: Quality​

Of course, this is the most important factor as far as customers are concerned. Here is what we discovered related to quality:

1. There is a single sample piece of writing on the site - the application of Aristotle’s treatise on rhetoric to a presentation on TED Talk, regarding antibiotic overuse. We certainly would have liked to see more samples.

2. MyEssayWriting customer reviews were very mixed. It seems that the lower the academic level of the customer, the more satisfaction there was. For college and grad students, though, satisfaction is far less. These students complain about poor writing quality, possibly ESL. Other complained about poor quality of resources used for research.

3. The paper we received included the same issues that college students pointed out.

Factor 4: Pricing and Payment​

Prices run in the high-average range, beginning at $17.99/page for high school level work. Prices do vary based upon academic level, type of product, and deadline urgency. Our paper, 8 pages with a 7-day deadline was $227.20. There were no posted discounts, although the order form has a field for a promo code. We asked customer service about this and were told that they often give new customers a discount if requested. And they will sometimes provide a discount to a very large order.

Payment methods are via all major credit cards, but these are run through PayPal, which is quite secure.

Factor 5: Additional Important Considerations​

My Essay Writing offers the same “freebies” that are standard for most legit essay writing service websites – free title, bibliography, and table of contents pages, as well as free revisions, so long as they are requested within 10 days of product delivery.

Concluding Comments​

As we look at pros & cons, a definite pro is a website itself. It is well-organized and the content is well-written. But the cons related to product quality negate all of the glowing rhetoric on the site. While My Essay Writing is certainly not a fraud or scam, we cannot recommend that students beyond high school use its service. For this reason, we are assigning a rating of “Fair-to-Poor.”
